Anyone with a toddler boy (or my daughter) knows that when it comes to trains, Thomas the Tank Engine is where it's at! So, when we heard that he (or as Annabelle calls him, "Choo Choo Thomas") was going to be in the area, it was "All aboard!"
We spent the day at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union having lots of fun. We got to meet Sir Topham Hatt (as you can see from the picture, Aiden was a little wary of the guy in the funny costume), ride on Thomas (as you can see from the picture, Aiden was fascinated) and the kids played on several inflatable rides. We left with a few dollars worth of merchandise (a couple trains for their table, a ball (Aiden's choice) and a "boon" aka balloon (Annabelle's choice).
